The role

Upstream is looking for a Product Innovation Manager for our Channels & Advertising function, to work closely with our teams and guide our Customer Engagement platform strategy from conception to implementation. The role will report to the Senior Product Innovation Manager. As a Product Innovation Manager, you will have the opportunity to develop technology and consumer experiences that optimize Upstream’s ROI, promote the company strategic vision and create value for our customers. You will be the point of contact of product development, operational, performance and commercial teams. You are a good fit for the role, if you have a bias toward action and can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development and ensure that Upstream retains a consistently high level of quality in product and customer experience. Your work will ultimately allow Upstream to positively impact millions of consumers around the world.

Key responsibilities

  • Define the product vision and roadmap for Upstream’s Customer Engagement platform; Coordinate with all internal stakeholders for alignment on priorities and timelines
  • Work closely with technical product managers to provide requirements and translate business and performance needs and ideas into technically feasible products & features within the agreed timelines
  • Turn high level product visions into tactical, actionable product plans that balance short term needs to get product to market with long term, big-picture strategies
  • Have a deep understanding of the user experience and needs, identifying and feeling gaps
  • Monitor market trends, conduct research, and analyze consumer expectations. Collect data and provide actionable insights based on market status and competition.
  • Work with the wider internal product and commercial teams towards achieving annual target revenue and innovation targets
  • Work with Product Marketing to identify unique B2B2C selling points and “package” the product offerings into compelling marketing material
  • Cooperate with other members of different functions within the Innovation department to recommend improvements and optimizations of the product portfolio of the Innovation umbrella (in strategy, performance, product features, customer experience etc)
  • Brainstorm with the team to design and define new features for Upstream advertising platform
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of products and solutions and act as a subject matter expert for your product area
  • Advocate and educate internal teams regarding new product feature

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in digital product management
  • University degree, preferably in the fields of technology or business
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented, highly organized, hands-on
  • A team player, but can work independently too
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization and time management skills
  • A unique blend of business and tech savvy
  • Able to perform under pressure and deliver results in a demanding and fast paced environment
  • Passionate about building great products and solving customer and business problems

Will be considered a plus if you have:

  • Understanding of Digital Marketing, E-Commerce and Performance Optimization concepts
  • Experience with mobile operators
  • Familiarity with UX/UI design principles
  • Experience with Platform Product Development
