HELEN SALAVOU
Helen/Eleni Salavou is currently an Associate Professor of Business Administration at the Athens University of Economics and Business. Her main research interests involve entrepreneurship (traditional and social), innovation and strategy of small firms. She is the founding member of the research unit of social entrepreneurship (http://use.aueb.gr/) and the director of the management laboratory (https://www.aueb.gr/en/content/research-laboratories-0) at the University.
She has published her work in international journals (~2,290 citations) and participated in several national and international research projects. Parallel to her academic career she has contributed as management consultant and mentor in numerous entrepreneurial initiatives.
In September 2020, Helen Salavou was assigned to be the Director of the Athens MBA. Based on the program’s records, she is the 7th Director, the 2nd Director elected on behalf of the Athens University of Economics and Business and the 1st woman leading the program throughout 23 years of operation. Her priority is to preserve the heritage of the program and create added value by expanding the Athens MBA community.
KONSTANTINOS KIRYTOPOULOS
Dr Konstantinos Kirytopoulos is a Professor of Project and Risk Management at the School of Mechanical Engineering, National Technical University of Athens (Greece) and an Adjunct A/Prof. at the University of South Australia. He holds a PhD in Project Risk Management attained at the National Technical University of Athens (2003) and an Integrated Masters in Mechanical Engineering (Integrated Masters / 5 year studies) attained at the same University (1999). He also holds the business qualification PMP® from the Project Management Institute, USA.
Dr Kirytopoulos works and conducts research mainly in Project Management, Risk Management, Standards Development and Education, in several industrial fields. He has led important projects in his field of interest and conduct research that is published in international journals and conferences ((>130 peer-reviewed papers, Scopus h index 14, >500 citations). He has led 5 PhD students and more than 100 post and undergraduate Theses to successful completion in Greece, Portugal and Australia. He has taught more than 20 different University subjects within the discipline of industrial management in Europe and Australia with very high teaching evaluations from his students.
In July 2021, Konstantinos Kirytopoulos was assigned to be the Deputy Director of the Athens MBA.
His vision for Athens MBA is for it to become the point of reference for quality education in MBA in Greece and through that, the programme to maintain and enhance its impact to society and businesses.
