As part of the "Industrial Policy & International Competitiveness" course, taught by Professor Angelos Tsakanikas and Professor Petros Dimas, we had the special honor of hosting Mr. Antonis Avgeropoulos, CEO of Nespresso Hellas, and Mr. Stathis Manolatos, Technical, Quality & Safety, Health, Environment Manager of Nespresso Hellas of the Nestlé Group.

The discussion around sustainability issues in this particular sector was particularly timely and meaningful, with the Athens MBA students actively participating in a productive exchange of views.

We warmly thank Mr. Avgeropoulos and Mr. Manolatos for their valuable contribution, as well as for the experiences shared with our students.

As part of the Operations Management course, taught by Dr. Sotirios Gayialis, we had the pleasure of welcoming the SAP team.

Kostas Tsitsirigos presented SAP's strategic approach in the manufacturing sector, as well as the solutions that support modern production environments, offering valuable knowledge and practical approaches.

We sincerely thank the entire SAP team that was with us. Specifically, Mr. Kostas Tsitsirigos, Ms. Rosie Tsela, Mr. Grigorios Poulis, and Mr. Andreas Alexiou for their participation and contribution to enriching the learning experience of our students.

As part of the Industrial Policy & International Competitiveness course, the students of AthensMBA had the opportunity to attend a very interesting talk by Isidoros Sideridis, CEO of Pobuca, on the latest developments in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The talk took place at the facilities of the National Technical University of Athens and offered valuable knowledge and in-depth analyses on modern trends and applications of artificial intelligence, with particular emphasis on its impact on the entrepreneurship and industry.

His thoughts on the impact of AI on our daily lives, on the way we work, and on the evolving socio-economic activity both in our country and internationally, sparked a particularly lively and fruitful discussion, as is always the case at such meetings. Mr. Sideridis, drawing on his deep knowledge and experience, encouraged a substantive dialogue around the prospects as well as the challenges that accompany the development and use of this technology.

We would like to sicerely thank Mr. Sideridis for his valuable contribution and willingness to share his knowledge and experiences with the academic community of Athens MBA.

The event was held at the invitation of the instructor, Professor Angelos Tsakanikas, constituting another important step in the promotion of continuous learning and the exchange of knowledge within the framework of AthensMBA.

As part of the the "Industrial Policy & International Competitiveness" course, taught by Professor Angelos Tsakanikas and Dr. Petros Dimas, a lecture of exceptional interest was given by Mr. Nikolaos Moneos, Gas Quality & Renewable Gases Supervisor at DESFA.

The lecture focused on the energy market and the energy policy choices being formulated for our country in the new European environment.

We warmly thank Mr. Moneos for his participation and the valuable knowledge he shared, as well as the instructors for the organization of the event.

In February 2026, the Director of Athens MBA, Professor Helen Salavou, participated in the annual entrepreneurship conference, Australasian Consortium for Entrepreneurship Research Excellence 2026, in Sydney, Australia. During the ACERE 2026 conference, a dialogue took place among globally recognized academics in entrepreneurship at The University of Sydney.

Within the framework of the conference, 2 papers on topics of entrepreneurship and research methodology were presented:

On Saturday, January 31^st, 2026, the cutting of the New Year's Cake (Vassilopita) of Athens MBA (AUEB–NTUA) was held in the center of Athens. The event at Couleur Locale was an excellent meeting opportunity for the members of the Athens MBA to meet new people and build both personal and professional connections. The evening gave us the chance to spend time pleasantly in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Special thanks to the Director, Helen Salavou (Professor at AUEB), and the Deputy Director, Konstantinos Kirytopoulos (NTUA Professor), who actively support the outreach activities of Athens MBA (AUEB-NTUA) and to to the Administrative Staff of the Program for the organization of the event! And, of course, a big thank you to every member of the Athens MBA community who joined us on this special evening, both from faculty and from the community of students and alumni!

Athens MBA (AUEB-NTUA) participated at the Construction Project Management Conference 2026 by Boussias, which took place on January 30^th, 2026 at the OTEAcademy Amphitheater, with the central theme: "Collaboration, Technology, Climate: The Equation of Future Projects". Focusing on the modern challenges of the construction industry, the conference was a substantive platform for the exchange of knowledge and best practices, bringing together executives, engineers, project managers, and decision makers for the projects of the new era.

Particular emphasis was placed on the role of Construction Project Managers, who, in collaboration with all stakeholders, ensure the timely and on-budget delivery of projects, in accordance with the required quality and functionality standards.

The conference was attended by Konstantinos Kirytopoulos, Deputy Director of Athens MBA (AUEB-NTUA) and Professor at NTUA, who moderated the panel on "Mega Transportation Projects: Highways, Rail & Intermodality", contributing substantially to the dialogue around large-scale transport projects and their modern challenges.
