The Athens MBA team representing NTUA, participated in the ERPsim Competition for MBA/SCM students for the EMEA South region, taking first place!

The competition was organized by the ERPsim Lab of the HEC Montreal and the SAP Next-Gen Community.

As part of the competition, groups of students from postgraduate programs of the participating countries competed in the logistics business game developed by the ERPsim Lab. The main feature of the game was the supply of the market with dairy products, taking decisions on the pricing policy, the supply of a central warehouse, and the supply of the regional warehouses, while the winning team was the one that achieved the best financial results.

The Athens MBA team consisted of the student Georgios Dianellos, Maria Chatzi and Anastasia Biniari, while the training and guidance of the team were undertaken by the faculty members of the program Dr. Sotirios Gayialis and Dr. George Papadopoulos.

Students had the opportunity to attend the presentation held on 30/9 covered by Elisavet Golfinopoulou and Vassilios Tsatsos, invited by Associate Professor, Konstantinos Kiryttopoulos.

During the lectures of the course "Supply Chain Management" held on May-June 2021, the following topics were covered by distinguished speakers invited by Sotiris Gayialis, Teaching and Research Associate PhD, at the National Technical University of Athens:

During the implementation  of the course titled "Industrial Policy and International Competitiveness" in the period of February and March 2021, distinguished speakers have been invited by Angelos Tsakanikas, Associate Professor at the National Technical University of Athens:

Speaker: Dr. George Xirogiannis, Deputy General Manager at Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV)

Total Quality Management

Presentation by Mrs. Teresa Daskalaki, Quality & Operations Manager at Y-Logimed S.A. on the topic: Business Continuity Management. 

Project and Program Management

Presentation by Mr. Alexandros Maravas, Senior Project Engineer at Attiko Metro SA on the topic: Time and financial planning of EGNATIA ROAD construction project.

The program as well the instructors have had a quick response to the challenges that have emerged from the COVID-19 pandemic. All courses have successfully been implemented using online and remote classrooms through high quality web platforms. In addition, all administrative services have been provided efficiently to all Athens MBA students.

The program assigned the management for two years to a new Director, namely Dr. Helen (Eleni) Salavou, Associate Professor at the Athens University of Economics and Business. 

Based on the program’s records, Dr. Salavou is the 7th Director, the 2nd Director elected on behalf of the Athens University of Economics and Business and the 1st woman leading the program throughout 23 years of operation.
