As part of the Business Strategy course with Dr Giorgos Papagiannakis, the second-year Athens MBA students had the pleasure of welcoming Ms. Natali Vagioni, CEO of Fresh Line.

Her presentation focused on critical issues of modern business practices, such as the development of distribution channels, acquisition strategies, sustainability, and the use of artificial intelligence to automate business processes. The discussion that followed highlighted significant challenges as well as opportunities for businesses in the new digital era.

The collaboration continues, as students will be invited to work on an original Fresh Line business case, delving further into the above topics. This establishes an excellent opportunity to connect theory with practice and strengthen their strategic and analytical skills.

The welcome event was held on Friday, September 26^th, 2025, just before the start of the first course titled "Business Administration" by the Director of the program Helen Salavou, Professor at AUEB.

The welcome event was attended by the Deputy Director of the program Konstantinos Kirytopoulos, Professor at NTUA, Eleftheria Ioanna Xagorari, member of the Administrative Staff of Athens MBA, and members of the Alumni Board (Andromachi Mitrokotsa & Nikolaos Stratis - Lamprakis).

This year, for the first time, we had the pleasure of being joined by second-year students together with Assistant Professor Mr. Giorgos Papagiannakis - offering a unique opportunity to get to know one another, share experiences, and network.

During the current academic period, classes for both years (1st and 2nd) will be held on the same day, further enhancing opportunities for interaction, collaboration, and shared learning experiences.

On Wednesday, September 24, at the National Technical University of Athens premises, an information event for postgraduate program students was held on the topic of professional certifications of the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Students of the 2024–2026 Athens MBA class attended, who had the opportunity to be informed in detail about certification prospects in the field of project management and to discuss with industry professionals.

The event was coordinated by Professor Konstantinos Kirytopoulos, Professor of Project and Risk Management & Head of the Metrotechnics Lab, School of Mechanical Engineering, NTUA, and Deputy Director of Athens MBA.

Students from the following programs also participated in the event:

• Full-Time / Part-Time MBA (Athens University of Economics and Business)
• Infrastructure and Construction Project Management (NTUA)

Members of the newly established PMI Greece Chapter Student Club were present, and presenters were the members of the Education volunteer team, Nicholas Sofroniou and Dimitris Dassios, with Vice President Alexandra Pavlidou, M.Sc, PMP.

The program included:

• Introduction to PMI and its activities
• Presentation of basic certifications (CAPM, PMP, etc.)
• Guidance on the PMP acquisition process
• Practical examples, questions and preparation tips

The event concluded with:

• Remarks by Anastasia Vitani, MBA, PMP, who shared her personal experience from preparation and exams.
• Presentation by Stavroula Tziraki, Communications Coordinator of the PMI Greece Chapter Student Club, on the role and activities of the club.

The new academic year is off to a strong start with positive energy!

The first in-person meeting of the AthensMBA Curriculum Committee was held at the premises of the National Technical University of Athens in a productive climate.

Within the context of the Athens MBA Inter-Institutional Inter-Departmental Postgraduate Program (AUEB - NTUA), the event titled "Business and Technology Consulting EY meet Athens MBA" was successfully held.

Students and alumni of the program had the opportunity to learn about EY's activities, attend detailed case study presentation by the Business and Technology Consulting sectors, and be informed about career paths within the organization.

The meeting "Meet the Board! – Meet & Greet Drink with the new Board of Directors of Athens MBA Alumni" was held with great joy, where students and alumni of Athens MBA had the opportunity to meet and discuss with the members of the new Board of Directors of the Alumni Association. The evening went pleasantly at the welcoming venue of Green Park.

In a relaxed atmosphere, we exchanged ideas and discussed proposals for the dynamic course of the Alumni Athens MBA Association in the coming period with the support and active participation of the management.

Members of the Administrative Staff and Faculty of Athens MBA honored us with their presence at the event, strengthening the connection among the members of the Athens MBA Community.
